I've been having a blast playing PlanetSide again and I have been getting really involved in the command structure since very few other people want to. Nothing else major going on - been waiting for the new Star Wars RTS to come out it looks like it will be a blast. I have also been working on a new (or old?) project you will be hearing about very soon. Only my most evil stalkers will understand what might be to come.

Cell Phone Contracts

So recently Jen and I realized that our cell phone coverage was far to expensive for us at this time. We are currently with NEXTEL or Sprint, whatever the hell they are calling themselves now. Anyway this leads me to the issue at hand Cell Phone Contracts.

Now these things have been around for a long time where if you sign X amount of your life away you get this great rate for that period of time. The problem here is that if you decide their service sucks ass (NEXTEL doesn't work AT ALL during several parts of my morning and evening commute) you are pretty much screwed. It's not that you can't get out of the contract at all but the great thing is they make you shell out like $200+ dollars just so you can cancel your (Shitty) service. The greatest part about all this is that half the time you don't sign shit but you are stuck in a contract.

So if we wanted to get new phones we would have to shell out $400 JUST TO SWITCH to a new provider. Needless to say I am skipping out in May when our contract(s) expire. We could get 2 plans for the cost of the ONE we have now. There is at least one other way to get out of these plans and that is to exchange your plan with some other poor soul using an online service such as Cell Trade USA but honestly that is kind of a pain in the ass.

Well that's enough ranting for now, if you wish to do some research on Cell Phone Contracts just do a simple Google search can give you a bit more information. In case I don't come back here until next year I hope everyone has a great new year!

Hamma Update

Once again I come to you after months of not posting I really suck at blogging mostly because I always forget to come here. But nevertheless here I am with another update.

Christmas has passed finally I had a pretty good holiday considering. Since it starts well before Thanksgiving now I am so glad to have it over, when I was a kid Christmas kicked ass but now it just sucks.

There have been very few games to keep my attention over the past couple months. Usually during the holidays there are more games than I can handle but it seems that this year it's all about the XBOX 360 which I won't be buying until the price goes WAY down.

So I have headed back to PlanetSide along with CDL. We had a great time in the game when it came out and we have gone back again. We are having just as much fun as we once did in the game. The Merits that are in now give some incentive to continue improving your character. We've started right where we left off with our Tip of the Spear operations and tower ownage and it has been a complete blast. I am getting involved more in Command considering it seems any of the other CR5's don't give 2 shits anymore and just talk about random dumb shit on the command channel. I've found it quite rewarding relaying information for people and helping to organise assaults.

So keep an eye out for us in PlanetSide - until we meet again (I'd say 3 months?) in all seriousness I am going to try and update way more often. So until next time :p

At last..

Well the weekend is finally here, I got so much done this week at work that it feels good to have a few days off. Monday is Columbus day and being in education, I get that day off :D Anyway on to what has peaked my interest for games recently.

So as I posted several days ago about Star Trek Online it turns out today they did a new Q&A over at Star Trek Online.NET with a few of the developers. I am really really hoping this game does not dissapoint as it will probably be the only MMO I would ever play again. So far, it is looking great - here is a quick snippet from their Q&A:

Brief stint at the academy. This is an opportunity to immerse the new player in our world, set up our premise, and potentially teach a little before launching the new recruit off into the galaxy. Note that the player will likely only choose his race at this time.

Assignment to a training vessel. The player will use this time to test department content and then lock into his chosen department. This gives him the chance to see what those departments are actually like before having to choose.

Entry into the larger hub network. This phase has the player adventuring within Federation space. The missions in this area of the galaxy capture the traditional one-shot episode-like content you know and love.

Commission. While he has already gone out on training missions with small, temporary ships, or as crew members of other players’ ships, this is his first real permanent commission.

Exploration into disputed territory. The conflict we’ve hinted at is a major factor within this phase of the game. The stakes will be higher, but so will the rewards

As you can see there it is looking pretty damn appealing it's to bad it's still at least a year off :( There is much more to read over at Star Trek Online.NET so head over and check it out.

Massholes..

Last night me and Jen went over to my grandparents house to meet up with a bunch of family. My cousin is back on leave from a deployment and was in town and my uncle whom Jen has never met was coming up for a few days. He had been gone for at least 5 years and she never met him and only heard of him he lives down in the Florida Keys where I need to get my ass down to soon. Needless to say we had to go over and hang out with the family. My family is most certainly strange at times, from my grandmother talking about sex toys to me and my cousin talking about his recent drunken blog entries. None the less it was a great time and I love to spend time with my family, I think its the first time in several years that I was in the same house with all my closest cousins.

So got on the highway today headed home from work, everything appeared great at first no traffic and high speeds. Perfect for a 30 minute drive home, but all was not well further up the raod. As always, some asshat managed to drive his car into the median grass - god knows why or how he ended up down there alone. This managed to back up traffic for about 5 miles or so and add another 20m on to my 30 minute commute. And of course the traffic on the other side southbound was also backed up because they had to look and see what was going on. I've heard talk of police putting up tarps and stuff in front of accidents and such but what will that do? "Hey look at that tarp I wonder whats going on behind it!!"

Anyways thats about all I have to complain about today, I'm tired as hell and I really am not in the mood to talk about the Red Sox who have once again dug themselves into a win or die situation.

Life goes on..

Well life continues and I have been completely stretched these past few days at work. Been working on implementing an in house intranet for people to read IT Department info and also submit service requests. This invovled building a Linux server to install PHP/mySQL/Apache. I used Linux because if I had used a Windows 2003 server I would have had to reboot it 3000 times and it would have taken me 3 weeks instead of 2 days. I ended up using Redhat's free OS code name: Fedora Project which so far has been fitting the bill very nicely. I also used Wordpress as a news page of sorts (Sorry blogger, You don't work standalone)

On the home front I have cancelled my World of Warcraft account, I decided it was time to put it on the shelf. High end content sucks ass for a casual player so there is no point to leveling anymore. Maybe in the future I will renew. Jenny and I have been playing Fear which has been a blast. Overall it's more of the same as far as FPS's go but - its a change of pace and its fast paced which is alot of fun. Plus I can just pick up and play, no need to fly to another zone for 25 minutes to shoot someone.

Future MMO's

As many of you know I used to be an extreme hater of the RPG. Truth is I had always feared that if I had gone near one I would meet the fate many of my friends did and be sucked in. Well that's just what ended up happening.

Anyways things in WoW are still fun - but the new is starting to wear off and people are starting to get bored with it. When Blizzard made high end raid content only applicable to high end hard core guilds they really screwed the pooch with me and my guild. 40 people to raid an instance? Screw that, it means you need like 60 level 60's to constantly run something like Molten Core.

So my outlook on the future has begun. Many people have talked about Vanguard and how it could be the next big thing but, I am not so sure. From my limited reading about it, and my conversations with other people it seems like it is going to be the most hardcore of hardcore RPG. The case where, if you are a lumberjack that is level 5 and you try and chop down a level 25 tree you suffer a painful death by wood. Personally that is not appealing to me.

I have always hoped for a Space based futuristic RPG that did not suck, all the one's I have read about and talked to people about have no appeal to me. Thus I have set my eyes on what I am most excited to see come out.

I have always been a Star Trek fan, and Star Trek games have almost always been doomed to fail. As if they are cursed in some way. I am hoping against hope that the upcoming Star Trek: Online reverses the evil curse and finally allows me to captain my own ship. So far it is looking very promising, the ability to choose which way you want to go in terms of Helm, engineering, Science, Tactical etc. It will give everyone no matter the path they choose the ability to enter into Command and perhaps one day command your own ship. Ships will be full of players and NPC's and captains it appears will have the ability to invite people to their ship and even reject/kick people (Out the airlocks perhaps?) .

In my opinion any good game needs a good backbone in terms of a community. So far it looks like Star Trek Online.net is taking up that role pretty well. They have up a great FAQ compiled of all the known information about the game including the fact that it is still a ways off in terms of development. So its been well over a year since I have posted to this bad boy. I finally decided that I wanted to get back into writing a semi-regular blog entry thanks to Marsman who has been messing around with his blog as of late. So where to begin? So much has happened over the past year that I don't think there is enough webspace on the server to list it all.

I left off last year with the Mobilization as well as my upcoming marriage. Both of those were a success I might add. We had great fun down in Orlando and my wedding was just amazing. Jenny has also received her green card and she is now able to work in the USA and live here.

Over the past year PlanetSide and my beloved fansite PlanetSide Universe have slowly gone away into nothingness. PSU was a great run and provided me and my staff with some amazing experiences and of course, fun. But unfortunately earlier this year I decided to call it a day over at PSU and close down. Although it was sad it provided me with a much needed break from childish drama that forums tend to bring out.

So now I am playing World of Warcraft and waiting for the next big game to surface. My team/guild Clan Draconus Lupus has been going strong for many years and WoW has been our most recent game and we have been having a blast. We also just had our most recent Rally in which members of the CDL descend on Orlando Florida and have several days of various antics. It's a blast every year and we are in the 3rd year now of holding the Rally. You can read more about that over on the CDL website.

Well I think that is about it for now - beats me if anyone will read these but if you do feel free to comment. I shall be posting more regular updates from here on out, about life, current events and whatever else happens to come across my mind.

Bad Timing

So we finally got Jen's visa interview date and when do you think it falls? Why on August 19, 2004 of course, one day before we need to be on a plane to Orlando, FL for PSUMA. So this means that we are either a.) Not attending or b.) Going to be EXTREMELY TIRED. We are going to make every attempt to be there for our plane of course. The interview is at 9:30a and they USUSALLY issue the visa's that day. If they do issue it, they issue it by around 3PM. This means we would be to the border (in theory) by at least 5pm and be on the road by 5:30. From there its about 6 hours back to my house which puts us home somewhere around 12:00A. Then we sleep, and leave the house around 6:30a to head up to the airport and board our plane.

We think it can work, and we are going to make every effort to be there. But we wont know for certain if we are going to be there until the day before. Which kind of sucks, but hey if we can be there I guess it doesent matter. So thats where we stand now, it probably puts our wedding in early September before the CDL rally.

On a side note, today I am taking jen to the dragway to check out some Jet cars and all that fun shit. The dragway kicks ass theres nothing quite like 600 - 1200 horsepower beasts pounding down the track at 200-300MPH. Anyways until next time, happy blog reading or should I say stalking,

Pork Fried Rice

Well it's been over a week and my blogging skills have been severly lacking. During my free time I have not wanted to get anywhere near a computer. Just spent the weekend relaxing at home with with family and Jen. As many of you have seen I did indeed purchase an XBox this weekend, yes I know I said I would never buy an xbox but after reading about them and seeing some of the cool games I decided to give it a go. And yes I do still play PlanetSide, but I am a gamer. And I like to try out other games now and then. We've been having quite a bit of fun with it. I picked up Halo, Rainbow Six 3, and yesterday Tony Hawk Underground. Halo is a blast to play, I have only played it on the PC and I never did the campaign. Its really a great story and nothing is more fulfilling than blowing up 5 aliens with a plasma grenade and watching them all flail about the screen.

Yesterday we were sitting around and decided we wanted to get Tony Hawk, I've only played this game while I was "Intoxicated" so I figured what the hell, lets give it a try. Man this game is addictive and allot of fun to play, I'd say me and Jen played for like 7 hours yesterday afternoon and evening. I also tried out a little rainbow six 3 on xbox live but I wasnt in the mood at the time for that kind of gameplay.. more on that when I am patient enough for it.

Other than that there isn't too much to report other than work work work and waiting on that darn visa interview date so we can get on with our lives and finally get married.

Monday

Welps its another Monday and as always, Mondays just so happen to suck ass. Just finished reading martyr's blog entry and I feel like a blogging newb with his r33t entry :p Yesterday was an interesting day, spent time at my grandmothers with the family and Jen. Then I spent some time being god in Black and White. It's actually a really fun game and I am just starting to get the hang of it. I have decided to be a "good" god for now, because believe it or not I am a good guy.

After that we went out and picked up some Burger King for supper. However our dinner was rudely inturupted when we heard tires screeching and a series of loud bangs out front of my house. We go running outside to see that somoene has taken out 3 mailboxes in front of my house (Mine included). One of the mailboxes was actually flung a good 70 feet by this fuck tard. These arent your ordinary mailboxes either, two of them are metal pipe set in Concrete and one of them was set on part of a telephone pole. Needless to say these arent objects that are easily moved however they were all completely mowed down.

So anyway in the crazyness that happened shortly after this accident I took my moms car and peeled off down the street. Because this person decided to keep driving. My pedal was to the floor around the corner when I came up to this vehicle missing a tire, broken axel - sheered off mirror. ie: a vehicle that had just mowed down several mailboxes. I pulled in front of the vehicle so that they could not move any further. It turned out it was a chick and I said to her "Did you just mow down my fucking mailbox" to which she replied "Yes, I think it was me" I was rather floored when she said "I think" because this stupid bitch just mowed down some serious shit. If someone had been out there it would have been over for them, not to mention the fact that in order to hit the mailboxes she was on the WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD. There is also a blind corner there where she was on the wrong side of the road.

Anyway the police showed up and searched her car, they were down there for a couple hours. The chick actually thought she was going to drive off in her vehicle but they had to call in a tow truck. After the cop did all the paperwork and such for the accident he came back up to my house and took our information and a statement, her story was that she was on her cell phone and not paying attention. I personally dont buy it, it seemed like she was on some kind of drug because of the way she acted.. they cited her for leaving the scene of the accident and that was it. In short: she's buying us new mailboxes.

Slacking

Yes I know I have been slacking in the blog department, things have been so darn busy around here that I havent even had time to blog. Jen returned this Wednesday after being gone for 2.5 weeks. This was probably the last time that she has to go home because her visa interview is coming up soon.

Other than that things have been busy with work and such, Triggar has been doing an amazing job on PSU:MA and I am looking forward to it. It should definatly be a blast and it looks like some SOE folk will be down there. Anyway thats about it for now I will try to get back to better blogging habits soon.

Remote Whoring

There's nothing quite like sitting outside on your porch whoring IRC and the Forums.

Yesterday and today were both very eventful days, yesterday I learned that Me, Jenny, AND Marsman would be attending PSU:MA thanks to a great community. I reserved all our spots with full deposits and ordered all the plane tickets. We will all go down on the same flight and arrive around 11:45 on Friday. I am completly stoked about attending PSU:MA and I am confident it will be a complete blast.

Yesterday I recived the consulate package that Jen will bring with her to her visa interview, its about 50 pages of random forms filled out by her and me. From pictures proving we have met right down to my financial worth and income. This means we should have our interview date next week and if all goes well which it will she will be here for good in July! :) Anyway, that's about it for this remote whoring session. Be sure to tune into Community Night this Friday at 8PM EST where we will have Triggar and other members of the community. What can I say I have been pretty busy, last week I got a new company issue laptop complete with 1.5GHz - 512MB/ram and of course 802.11g wireless in this pic it's the second laptop from the right. So I spent the weekend checking how far I can walk away from the house. Saturday night I went to the dragway with my cousin (details) and it was quite a blast. They had some insane stuff going on there, I hadn't been since I was younger so it was great to go back again. I have to say those cars are loud as hell. The highlight of the show are the jet cars nothing like going from 0 to 280MPH in the quarter mile.

Last night I did the first episode of Hamma time in quite a long time, it was great to get back behind the microphone again let me tell you. Shoutcasting is quite addicting and I suspect I will be doing it again in the near future. I had great feedback from the show as always. Another week has past and I am another week closer to having Jen back down here. It's very difficult being a country apart I challenge any couple to handle such a situation and remain strong.

Evening Chatter

Well it's been a busy week as always. I haven't had much of a chance to blog - been busy straight out from morning to night. Yesterday Jen had her medical exam up in Canada for her Visa, we are probably looking at an interview date of mid July or so. Once she gets the Visa (Which is usually issued interview day) we are home free. It means she can come here for three months, in that three months we are to marry at that point she can remain and file for a green card. I can't say how excited I am to be near the end of this long tedious process.

The Mobilization planning is going well, Triggar is doing an amazing job with everything and I can't say how happy I am to have her on my side. I wanted to do a PSU meet for a while but with everything going on with PSU and life I could not organise such an event on my own. I would not have anyone else organising this event ;) I also started a fundraiser to get me down there for the event. I really do want to be there, being that it is my website and all. But with our planned trip to Orlando already in September we cannot afford both trips and other costs we have now.

Finally I should be getting my brand new company issued laptop tomorrow I can't wait to get this beast. I've had several laptops over the years for my jobs but this one is by far the best one yet. The others were "ok" models when I got them but this one is pretty stellar. I'll probably spend allot of my weekend transferring my crap from laptop to laptop. And now, this gives me an excuse to buy a wireless access point :p

Another Monday

Well it's another damn Monday, I figure that maybe someday there will be a Monday that doesen't suck but this sure isn't it. My alarm this morning was set an hour before I actually needed to be up, not realising this at first I woke up in a daze and began getting ready for work. I then glanced at the clock and realised I still had another hour of valuble sleep available. So of course I capitalized on that and took a nice hour sleep before I actually had to be ready.

Not a very busy weekend really, spent allot of time working on the PSUMA pages with Triggar and doing some work on other site things. Soon we will be launching the PSUMA posters which can be found on martyrs blog. We plan on launching the PSUMA information pages later today or tomorrow for public consumption. Other than that I played some PlanetSide and some NFS:U to try out my new screen and new tweaked XP install. It's going to be a down few weeks for me while we wait for Jenny to return :(

Sadurday

Well it's finally the weekend, but it's a very sad weekend here for me. This morning Jen got on a bus destination: Canada. As always it's very difficult to say goodbye and I will be sad until she gets back :( On the bright side of all this we will know late next week when she can come back, because we will have her visa interview date! So next time she comes back we will be planning a wedding, and she won't have to leave again!

Other than that today I am going to work on some PSUMA stuff as well as mow the lawn. A pretty down, blah day that I have been dreading for 4 weeks. :(

rawr rawr rawr

Ahh another Thursday things are going great in Hamma Land. Our visa package is coming together great for Jen so when she goes back she only needs to do a few things then set an interview date. It was well worth the money to hire a lawyer to help us through this process, there is just so much crap to do. If you ever go through this process and have the money, do yourself a favor and hire an immigration lawyer. It lowers the stress by about 92%.

The PSU Mobilization planning is going full speed, I am really excited about the entire thing. All the work that the staff has done over the years has led up to this. Hopefully there will be many more years to come after of meets, we will see! Things are looking a little better for my attendance some things have happened job wise that will insure me a more steady paycheck from month to month. This is a big part of going of course, money is key in life.

That's about it for now, more blogging later :p

Long Weekend Over

Well it's Tuesday and the long weekend has come to an end. Overall it was a great weekend, pretty productive as we got quite a bit done. As seen in my Saturday blog we finally got the darn wedding/engagment rings after much trouble. Sunday was the day of the rebuild, I decided to sit down and format / rebuild my main gaming PC. It was due time as I havent reinstalled since I built the machine in late 2002, she still runs like a charm. I decided to go to Outlook 2003 on it as well, tired of that Outlook Express bullshit. Sunday night we were going to go out to this local dinner theatre but their seating arrangment sucked. The only seats available were at tables with about 30 little kids running around, the last thing I wanted was to have a child climbing up my leg while I was trying to watch a movie.

Yesterday was a quiet day overall, we took a run down to the beach to take in some fresh air. And then we played a round of mini-golf in the evening. It was a bitter sweet weekend because next Saturday Jen has to return home for at least a month :( we are hoping this is the final time she has to go back, and the next time she returns we will be together for the long haul. That's about it, today it's back to the grind - oh and guess what it's raining! It hasnt done that in 3 days :|

Bling Bling

Well its been an expensive past few days here. We finally got our hands on Jenny's ring yesterday after much hassle about the sizing and the jeweler. We managed to get them to pay for the sizing after they screwed it up. I got my ring the other day, and it fit first try so mine was easy, Pics are viewable around this post feel free to comment on all the bling bling. Last night we went out for a few drinks because its been one hell of a long week. Jenny managed to get a little hungover last night so I had to nurse her back to health this morning. Went out early and got her some chicken noodle soup and Return of the King. I am horribly bored by Lord of the Rings movies but I will suck it up this one time.

I also setup my new monitor last night, man this thing owns all. I am considering moving it over to my gaming comp now because I like it so much. Course, this means I would have to get another LCD (Low Cost). Jenny may beat me if I do that however, so I will have to think about it.

That's about it for now planning on upgrading my gaming comp to WindowsXP tomorrow, its due time. Other than that we are spending the nice long weekend relaxing together at the house, Jen returns to Canada next Saturday for the last time in a while (Hopefully). Until next time, this is Hamma signing off :brow:

One More Day

Ahh Thursday so close yet so far away from the weekend. Today was an eventful day to say the least. We found out yesterday that we would not be able to get Jen's ring back from being resized until next Tuesday. However she decided she wanted to get it back sooner, so we managed to get our hands on it. Turns out that they didn't even size the damn thing so it was still to big. On the bright side we were going to get my ring (It's done and it fits - pics tomorrow or Saturday) so we are getting it resized there.

So we spent most of the day figuring out how we were going to get her ring lol. In other news, I decided to go ahead and order the screen that was posted about in my previous blog. I am probably going to end up using it as my primary monitor eventually. But for right now it is replacing the honking monitor on my second comp (those of you stalkers - that is the comp with IRC on the screen and a bunch of misc stuff to the left). I will probably get another 17" LCD in the next few weeks (Low Cost) to replace that one and use the new one as my primary. I'm tired of honking CRT displays, its time to move into the future.

That's about it for now, probably won't blog again until Saturday. There's going to be a nice round of drinking tomorrow night because Jen will have her ring AND it's a damn long weekend - MONDAY OFF!

Ahh Wednesday

Hump day at last, working my way to the long holiday weekend. Well at least I am pretty sure I have Monday off. Things continue with the immigration process, collecting all this information about where I've worked for the past several years among other crap. Hopefully Jen will be able to do the other stuff in Canada quick when she gets back. In other news it appears that my wedding ring is all done and sized up for me, once Jen's is done we will go pick them up and post pictures. I want to wear the damn thing now but alas, I cannot.

There's been allot of stuff going on recently, I'm really going to love that vacation in September :p I've also been checking out some LCD's because I want more desk space. That 17" on my second computer is mfing huge and I'm tired of having so little desk space. I think I am going to pickup the Samsung 172x which got some pretty good reviews over on Tom's Hardware Guide. It's also a damn slick looking monitor you have to admit, anyone out there have one or have any reccomendations? That's about it for this morning, another afternoon on the road.

Oh and to update on the Singles game. No, I have not yet shagged - last night was CDL Operations night and I played some PlanetSide. :P

Legal Council

Yesterday myself and Jenny went out and hired an Immigration lawyer to help us through the duration of the immigration process. The problem with immigration is they love to have everything setup perfectly, if you screw up an app somewhere or if you forget something your process can be delayed for months or even worse, killed. Needless to say that wasnt a risk we were willing to take so we decided to bite the bullet.

In other news last night we downloaded the demo to Singles: Flirt Up Your Life. Its supposed to pretty much be an adult version of the sims. You can run around the house naked, have sex, and all sorts of other fun things. The demo allows you to play for four hours and then it expires. The game is ok after playing for a short time (And Jenny Helped me Play) but man its just way to much work. I want to be able to click on my signifigant other right at the start of the game and click "Shag". I dont want to build a relationship - sweet talk, chat, gossip etc. I just want to cut to the chase and have some kinky sex. But since the game doesent allow that I never got in the sack last night with my sims.

Thats enough ranting for this morning, catch you on the flip side.

Shopping

Today was a day of infinite shopping. The morning was damp, and the sky was dark, myself and Jenny decided we should go out and do some shopping (Clothes shopping even ugh). It turned out to be a pretty productive day as we were able to pick out wedding rings for both me and her. She got this great white gold ring with several diamonds on it (Big Pimp'n) and I am getting a nice gold band with diamonds on it as well. Once we get them sized and such I will get pics online.

Since I dropped a good amount of money today, while we were shopping at the grocery store my bank called me up to make sure someone hadnt stolen my card lol. The thing that sucks about all this is I buy my ring and cant wear it for a few months hehe. So, we spent about 5 hours in the mall walking around from store to store and such.

Finally, I added several new cams to the PSU webcam page which you can check out here.

End to a Long Week

Sorry for the lack of blogging these past couple days, we have been very busy over at PSU working on yesterdays interview and annoucment. Those of you who hadn't noticed we have become part of the MMHell.com network. Finally we can focus on why we started the site in the first place, content for PlanetSide, new features and all that good stuff.

That is pretty much what has been going on these past few days, all PSU all the time. We also had a record turnout last night to our interview with over 500 listeners and 300+ people in IRC. It was a blast to do and we had a bunch of devs and some insane annoucments. Today I had some business in the AM then I had the rest of the day off. Myself and Jenny just relaxed and worked on some things so we can start getting the visa going. On Monday we are hiring a lawyer to represent us through the process so we can make sure its done right. We are in the home strech now and don't want things to mess up.

that's about it for now, the plan for this evening is to go out and have some fun. Its been a long ass week and we need to party! :p Also I just wanted to add that Triggar has put up her own blog. Be sure to go check it out!

Hump Day

Tis Wednesday at last, the mid-way point of the week. In a way it sucks because it means we are another day closer to Jenny going back to Canada :( On the bright side however we are finally in the home strech of our visa process. We are going to fill out most of the information down here in the states so that the process will be just about done when she gets back. All she will need is a medical exam.

Yesterday was a pretty blah day, I got out of work a bit early and got paid which is always good. Then we pretty much relaxed the rest of the day, sipped back a few bloody marys and called it a night. This evening myself and Marsman will start digging into the question list for tomorrows interview which should be a biggie!

Anyways, until tomorrow.

Long Day

Well it's Tuesday this day doesent suck quite as much as Monday but it still sucks. Yesterday was a very long day - did a bunch of work in the afternoon then headed over to my mom's office after work to redesign her network. She works at a Limo company which just got a brand new streched Excursion. Man the thing is like a schoolbus in length its nicer inside than my house. Complete with laser light show, strobe lights etc. When I hit it big I am buying me one of those.

I spent the rest of the evening working on things for PSU. Many of you noticed the fundraising post was gone - no that doesent mean the site is closing. Anyway, it's time to get back to the grind here.

Another Week

So begins another work week today is going to be one of those days. You know how sometimes when you wake up and get ready, you just know that it is going to be one of those days where the shit seems to pile up. Anyway so far so good here it's a pretty quiet morning. Yesterday was a relax day, mostly just hung around the house drinking bloody marys (they own). I also spent some time working on PSU, as well as some pictures we are sending north to Jenny's family so they can get a sense of what it's like down here. This afternoon I am headed north to New Hampshire for a few of my calls, maybe they will be quickies so I can get home early :p

This morning I saw ANOTHER Ferrari on the way to work. I swear there is far to much money in this town I work in. I've seen a bunch of Ferraris in the past couple weeks. In any case this week is going to be an eventful week. I have some things lined up on PSU as well as "real life" that are going to be interesting. Until tomorrow, this is Hamma signing off :P

Ugh

I love Sunday and I hate Sunday on the bright side its a day off. But on the flip side it means the weekend is almost over and its back to the grind tomorrow. Anyway yesterday was a great day Jenny was roasting alive because she is not used to this heat at all lol. I was right in my element however I love the warm weather and I wish it was warm year round. We went out and took a walk around the local lake, and even took some pictures.

Then we went out to catch Troy, I must say I was a little skeptical going in, I wasn't really sure if they would do the story justice. But I was pleasantly surprised as it turned out to be a really good movie. I am no critic by any means but they did a good job with the story and squeezing a 10 year war into 2.5 hours or so. So if you are thinking about going to see it, I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Well worth the admission price to check it out!

that's about it for today, I am catching up on some PSU admin stuff, and I am also working on some things to make PSU a more secure and better place. This week is our big dev interview, one year since the release of PlanetSide. Can't wait for that show I know it will be a great one!

Weekend At Last

So its a warm humid Saturday outside today. Myself and Jenny are planning on going out to see Troy at 1:15PM, I can't wait to wade through the massive zerg of people! Last night was quite an adventure, we went out and came back to my cable being down. This was perfect timing because AGN community night was supposed to be starting. So began the tug of war with Comcast tech support. Finally after some time yelling at them I was able to get back up and running for the end of community night.

This evening we are going up to my cousins to hang out, eat, and drink. My cousin is a huge nascar fan so he is having a shindig for tonight's race, and who am I to turn down a BBQ and beer? Anyways, be sure to check out the forums as I have a new sig and avatar courtesy of martyr and Ouroboros. Also Jenny and martyrs blogs are now online so go check those out!

Friday Ranting

Well it's FINALLY Friday here, I can't tell you how much I have been looking forward to the end of this week :p Still no big news reguarding PlanetSide out of E3 however I suspect that we should hear something today since Spork is going to be there. Yesterday was a semi blah day not a ton happened in the world of Hamma Time. We caught the last episode of Survivor where they gave away one million dollars to someone America selected. As I suspected it ended up being Rupert. Man that guy needs to shave his head and face he looks like a wild animal. I was hoping for Boston Rob myself the good home town boy who played the game the best of them all.

Anyway, I figured I would get to a quick rant this morning. As many of you may or may not know there was a hot girls forum on PSU. I closed this forum last week due to angry emails from porn sites. There is this one site who has persisted in emailing myself and other members of the staff (Right up until last night belive it or not.) complaining that his content was being "stolen". I've got some news for those of you out there who host a porn or picture site. If you haven't noticed by now people think that everything on the internet should be free this includes pictures, software, etc. So if you are running a site that has pictures that people want They will be linked. There are ways to disable linking from outside servers, that would be my best advice to those who are angry. Either way, the hot girls forum is gone and will probably never return. I don't have the time to deal with angry porn site administrators.

So Close Yet so Far

Well its Thursday - Friday is so damn close I can taste it. Another day at the grind today, probably driving all over Northern Masschusetts. Last night a bunch of DragonWolves got together to continue discussing the CDL Rally 2004. Last years rally took place in Orlando, FL and this years rally will be at the same place. We had a blast last year meeting everyone we had been gaming with for several years and this year promises an even larger turnout. This year Jenny will be coming along with me, she's never been on a plane so it should be a fun and interesing experience all around :P We hit up the major theme parks usually Orlando is a pretty crazy city. It's amazing how many square miles of hotels and theme parks there are down there.

Well, that's about it for this AM. Hopefully today we will start seeing some PlanetSide news come from E3!

Morning Ranting

This morning I had to be to work a half an hour normal than normal. It usually takes around 30 minutes to get to work, so I figured I would leave an hour early and I would be fine. Well that wasnt the case and it took me almost 50 MINUTES to get to work. The traffic started backing up no more than 5 minutes away from my house. I can't wait to get a job closer so I dont't have to deal with this bull anymore :P

Yesterday afternoon was rather interesting I got home to a flooded basement. So myself and Jen busted out the wetvac to get rid of the water. Apparently when we take a shower the water just pools in the basement rather than going away like it should. Anyway, the wetvac sprung a leak at some point and just started pouring the water out on the floor as fast as it was vaccumed up. After supper we decided to go have an ice cream, this plan was thwarted however when there was no parking at the ice cream place, and the line was to the road. This tends to happen on the first hot days of the season around here. Everyone and their mom and their moms mom decides they want to go get an ice cream.

Finally, today is the official public start of the E3 Expo. There is always some great annoucments that come out of this, I am really looking forward to it as I do every year. Sporkfire even hinted that there would be some PS news coming out. If I was to venture a personal guess I would say we can expect to hear about a new distribution of PS, that includes the patched up to date client. This would be a good move as when you buy the game now you are in for a looong patch process. ;)

Hot as Hell

Well its Tuesday and I really don't want to be here at work. Its hot as hell outside for this time of year - around 80 degrees expected to bump to around 90. To add insult to injury it's also humid as hell. Been a so-so day so far here nothing exciting to report other than the fact that I have to drive all around today on work calls. I don't know how some people can do all this driving I know it isnt for me.

I've also appointed the new moderators at PSU, Ouroboros, Ivan, and Onemanarmy. So keep an eye out for those guys :p last but not least I have put up a link to the other staff blogs on the main site. Marsman and Strygun have setup their blogs.

Stuffed

Another Monday draws to a close. Myself and Jenny went out for a bite to eat at the Texas Roadhouse. Man they have some great ribs and chicken :p We could barely move when we left.

On another note I have selected the night shift moderators for PSU. I think we made some pretty strong choices, you guys will be hearing about that later tonight or tomorrow.

Mondays

I have come to the conclusion that Mondays suck, I am tired of waking up after a nice weekend and having to go to work. To add insult to injury it seems that people somehow have the incredible skill of screwing up their computers over the weekend, even though half of them are not here.

It's a pretty nice day out overall, and I have a full schedule. Cleaning up another computer which has been hosed by constant downloading of spyware and doing some routine maintence on a client network. It's starting to look like rain out too. Typical because over the weekend we washed my car :|

Starting a Blog

So one day I was whoring around the internet and I thought "What if the PSU Staff started blogs" I knew of blogs, and what they were but I have never had my own. My life isnt all that exciting, but I decided if people like to watch my webcam chances are they would not mind reading about my life and what I am up to.

So starts this blog, I invite all members of PSU over here to see what is going on in my boring life.
